Northern Recycling Solutions require a full time warehouse supervisor to work in our recycling facility in Alness.
Supervising a team of 4-6 staff, the successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and hard working. We require a strong team player who will lead by example to increase production and meet daily targets for processing of materials. The position is a physically demanding job which involves , sorting skip waste, working on the picking line, shredding confidential documents, cleaning the factory and yard, and operating the baler and forklift (training will be given). Northern Recycling Solutions is a fast growing local waste management business that provides a positive working environment. This is a long term, permanent position.
In addition the successful candidate may be required to work as a relief driver covering holidays and additional runs to suit peak demands. A driving licence is essential. Candidates will be recruited under the BS7858 security recruitment standard which requires a full CV, 2 references and a clean Disclosure Scotland check.
Pay is £9.00 / hr paid monthly. We work 4 x 10 hours shifts per week, Monday to Friday, but occasional Saturdays may be required.

Job Description
Designation - Warehouse Supervisor
Reportable to – Site Manager
Key Responsibilities
• Motivate your team to work efficiently and effectively
• Take reasonable care of your own and other people’s health and safety
• Follow the training you have received when using any work items
• Keep the work area clean and tidy
• Achieve the targets and job standards set out by the Site Manager
• Be communicative with the Site Manager through daily reports
• Be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work
• Perform any reasonable request from the Site Manager
Main duties will include:
• Ensuring a suitable level of productivity from Warehouse Assistants, according to Company targets
• Ensuring Warehouse Assistants are working safely and are adhering to Company procedures
• Ensuring housekeeping levels within the warehouse and main yard are kept to a suitable standard as detailed in Company procedures
• Sorting/segregating of recyclable and general waste materials
• Shredding of paper and other confidential waste
• Baling & storing of sorted waste
• Safe operation of Company plant and equipment
• Forklift operation (only if you have a valid licence)
• Keep accurate records of waste arriving and leaving site by completion of waste transfer notes
• Duties involve regular light, medium and heavy lifting
• Use of company vehicles so a clean driving licence is essential
Employees may be called upon to carry out other tasks out-with this list. Employees will be required to work both inside the warehouse and outside in the main yard and may be required to work at other locations. All duties mentioned above to be carried out in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with Company procedures and risk assessments. The Warehouse Supervisor must inform the Site Manager or Company Directors, should they identify any working practices or inadequate precautions that place anyone’s health and safety at risk.
