Acer Aspire 5738Z laptop for spares or repair
Built in screen is faulty (only shows a white screen with some lines and patches on it, but not cracked) HDMI and VGA outputs work (the screen is 15,6" led backlit)
No battery
No Hard Drive (SATA)
I think some keys on the keyboard didn't work when I was installing Windows, otherwise I always used it with wireless keyboard and mouse.
The little plastic ring of the Line-in 3,5mm jack input is missing, the headphone and microphone port work.
I've been using this laptop connected to my TV via HDMI for web browsing but since a couple of days it cuts out after 1-2 minutes as if it overheated. (I already bought it with the screen not working but since I wasn't bothered because I wanted to use with my tv anyway.)
It always powers up and always shows a screen on VGA or when Windows is loaded on HDMI.
The picture that shows the BIOS has been taken with an external display connected to it on VGA, the HDMI output kicks in once Windows has loaded to the welcome screen so a VGA connection is necessary to install windows or make changes in the BIOS.
