Autism Personal Assistant - Carer - Direct Payments

To care for a 10 year old physically active boy at home and assist parents in the community when required.

Work Duties will include:
• Ensuring the safety of the child at all times
• Motivating and encouraging him to take part and try new things
• Recognising when space is required
• Encourage communication
• Enabling him to be happy and comfortable in social situations
• Helping with behaviour management
• Assisting with bathing and dressing
• Preparing meals

Requirements for applicant
• Good sense of humour
• Patience
• Flexible, reliable and honest
• Physically fit, agile and energetic
• Understanding of autism essential
• DBS Check

Location - Thornbury, South Gloucestershire

* Hours and rate of pay
Saturday or Sunday: 11:00 till 18:00 - £9.50ph
1 evening per week: flexible on day - 19.00 till 22.00 - £9.50ph
School holidays: Monday to Friday 10:00 till 15:00 - £8.50 ph
Overnight: Ocassional would be good but not essential £40.00 per night
Paid mileage and Annual Leave
