Now in its eighth year, the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards is the biggest hospitality design awards programme in the world. Based Cardiff, this high profile business is run by a small, dedicated team.
Following the growth of the business we are now recruiting new part time roles. This is a great opportunity to be part of a successful, growing company and to be an integral part of the awards process. You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated, organised and a natural communicator. You will need to be able to work as part of a team but also be capable of taking ownership of your own projects when required to do so.
About the roles
Design Researcher/Administrator:
Your main role will be to research and contact (by telephone and email) design companies, restaurant companies, design blogs and other media in order to find new restaurant and bar openings, new product companies and key contacts, both in the UK and Internationally. These are then entered into a central database, from which entrants are selected and ultimately shortlisted by our panel of expert Judges. As a small, multi-faceted team, your role will at times be diverse and the job description is not inclusive.
Essential skills:
Excellent computer and data-input skills (experience using Google Drive, Excel)
Attention to detail and the ability to follow strict guidelines/deadlines
Professional, confident and outgoing telephone manner
Excellent Administrative skills
A positive, can-do attitude
Good organisational skills
Excellent literacy skills
The ability to multi-task
The ability to work as part of a team and under own initiative, when required
Advantageous skills:
A good understanding of social media platforms
An interest in design and architecture
Background in sales
