Description
To work as a key person to provide safe, quality education and care for children and family support.
To ensure records are properly maintained and kept up to date
Accurately completing children's reports, assessments and transfer information to ensure continuity of care and smooth transition
Planning and providing a curriculum appropriate to the ages and developmental stages of the children
to be responsible for implementing systems of observation and record keeping so that children's attainment and progress are effectively and regularly assessed by creating a profile (learning journey) for each individual child and also Individual Learning Summaries for each child.
Work alongside other staff to plan and evaluate weekly focus indoor and outdoor and spontaneous plans
Good communication and liaison with staff and customers
to help set up the playroom to make it fun and inviting for the day, and to tidy away and clean at the end of the day.
To teach children offering an appropriate level of support and stimulation extending their play, learning and development
To ensure that the setting is a safe and clean environment for children, the equipment is safe, standards of hygiene are high and safety procedures are implemented at all times
Helping with the preparation of meals, snacks and drinks and supervise children over meal times feeding children and babies where needed.
