Set of Six x 19th Century Oak Dining Chairs / Tooled, carved Leather Seats
Set of 6 x 19th century oak dining chairs, with embossed leather back and seat covers, trimmed with ornate brass upholstery tacks/nails. Hand carved, crested back rails and H stretchers add to the rustic charm of this unique set of antique dining chairs. Possibly of French or Spanish origin.
Leather is original, minor wear on the leather due to age, but overall in good condition considering over 100 years old, except for a rip on the leather seat on one seat from the set (see photo). As expected of any antique items, there is normal wear to finish and a few scratches and nicks due to age and use. Given these date from around 1890 period, probably from France, they are in great shape, with exception of the one chair with the ripped leather.
